Referees Needed

The Cambridge Isanti Soccer Club (CISC) is still in need of rec refs for Rec nights.  Rec games will be played on Thursday nights from 5/17-6/23 (rain make-up night is on 6/30).  No previous experience is required and you do not have to be certified to ref rec games.  All rec refs are required to complete an online concussion training (once every three years) and attend mandatory training through the soccer club at the soccer complex on 4/23 at 2pm. If you are interested in being a rec ref, please complete the attached application form and email it back to me.  The club pay $10 per U7 rec game and $15 per rec U9 and rec U11 game.  Rec refs receive a rec ref shirt and whistle/stopwatch to use.

Additionally, our club uses M&D Sports to assign refs for our traveling games.  To be a traveling ref, you must be certified and have proper uniform/equipment. There is a fee of $60 (per year) to get registered and complete training and the ref uniform/equipment package generally runs around $70.  Though there is an initial investment, traveling refs make good money.  Here is a link to the amounts paid for our club and other surrounding clubs.  To be registered, there are 8 hours of required online training, an 8 hour classroom training and a test that must be passed.  There is an upcoming classroom training in Princeton on 4/9, so if you are interested in being a ref the time is now to get registered!  More details about becoming a ref can be found on the MN State Ref page here:

Also, feel free to pass this along to others that might have interest in being a ref.
